Updating user's email address using SAML?

Question

We have SAML setup in our environments but when a user's email address changes, it does not update the user in Appian with the new email address that is being passed through the SAML communication. With a large enterprise like ourselves, how do we go about having that email change through the SAML communication? 
 Anyone have any ideas?

There are currently no mechanisms to update user details during an authentication event. That update would have to be done through a batch sync or manually (the user can do it themselves). 
 
For batch sync, there are a number of options, I recommend visiting this page: community.appian.com/.../identity-management 
I would also open an enhancement case with Appian Support to request not only user profile creation but also profile update on login.
