Installation of Appian in operating system linux or windows?

 Do you have any information in which of the operation system is the better to install appian if on OS Linux or OS Windows?

Most of Appian's production installation base uses Linux. I'd highly recommend Linux. Also, there are additional features (e.g. High Availability configs) available to you exclusively on Linux. 
 
For non-production, I don't think there is a preference.
