How do I setup Application Performance Monitoring (APM) on Appian

I'm trying to get AppOptics (APM) setup with Appian.

I'm having issues with the webserver monitoring using AppOptics. I have followed the installation steps detailed here, docs.appoptics.com/.../

Are there any additional steps that need to be taken to get this working with the specific setup of Appian and Tomcat?

This is with Appian 18.4.
