Can I get away with the bundled JBoss 5.1 Community Edition in our Prod environm

Can I get away with the bundled JBoss 5.1 Community Edition in our Prod environment? I understand that EAP is recommended for Prod use but I wasn't sure just how strongly it is recommended. We are, in all other respects, ready to migrate our production env to Appian 6.6.1 but we don't have JBoss 5.1 EAP configured nor installed on our systems. We do have a license for EAP and will be getting it ready as soon as possible (prob. some time 2nd half of July) but not ahead of next week's planned migration to Appian 6.6.1 in Prod....

If security is relevant, you will use an application server that is maintained by a vendor. Appian doesn't patch 3rd party app servers as it is not our software. No relevant vendor sells support for community edition.

Just making sure the community ed. won't simply blow up after a week of Prod volume :) - security is not a problem, certainly not in the short term. Thank you very much for your reply.
