Hi Harsha!
I'm happy to report that we're adding a new audit log in 20.1 (releasing March 27) that will include this information. It's called the User Management audit log and it tracks user creation, deactivation, reactivation, email and name changes, etc. It will show which user was created or changed, when it happened, and who made the change. I hope you find it useful!
Thanks,
Caroline
Hi Caroline, was this feature ever added?
Hi Richard - I can see a log file named 'user_management.csv' in the 'audit/' directory in the environment I'm using (a 20.4 instance)...it has the following columns:
...and I can see 'Create' and 'Change Password' events in my instance.
Hi Richard!
Yes, Stewart's correct - we released the User Management Audit Log (link goes to the release note) in Appian 20.1. It tracks audit information (who made the change, when it happened, original and new values if those apply) for the following actions that can be taken on a user:
Create
Change Username
Change User Type
Change User Status
Change Lock Status
Change Password
Change Email
Hope this helps! Please let me know if you have other questions or feedback.
Hi -- it doesn't seem like this log file is being produced in our instantiation of Appian 22.3. Is there a setting or Appian config we need to turn on?
