As I'm sure you are aware, Appian 19.4 has around 145 log files. I'm new to administering Appian, but not to Java applications using Log4j. For an on-premise production environment, I'd typically expect to set the log level to WARN to filter out events that are not exceptional (e.g., problems). Reviewing appian_log4j.properties, it looks like there are lots of opportunities to reduce what's logged.
I'd like to reduce logging to a minimum, while maintaining Appian Health Check functionality, logging information I need for the Appian scaling guidelines, and accomplishing cyber-security monitoring and audit. Does anyone know of any guidance or exemplar configuration file for a production Appian environment?
