Hi, I have installed Appian Server 7.3 and tried to configure it for the email server. But when i did all the setting its start giving me an error. Although i have done all the setting similar in the fashion as i have done in appian 7.2 while same is mentioned over the forum.
Error logs are:

Do we need to anything else in Appian 7.3 for sending emails from the process

You need to discuss this with your mail server administartor and verify whether there's connectivity between Appian and this mail server. It could be the firewall is preventing this communication over port 25 or that this mail server requires a secure connection (e.g. STARTTLS) which needs to be disabled.

Hi, I have done telnet and run command EHLO and HELO both giving Hello back. But i am running EHLO or HELO with email id like HELO "rahul.kataria@companyname.com" its giving error "Invalid Domain Name". Please suggest its while connecting with email server its the problem with the configuration or is email server is not reachable for connectivity.

Is this an actual external mail server or it's a local instance of Apache James?

Hi eduardo thanks for the reply. This is the actual email server and we are remotely accessing the same. This email server is accessible from Appian 7.2 instance which is working correctly. While i did the same configuration but its not working in Appian 7.3 (Appian 7.2 and Appian 7.3 are running in different server)

The fact that the non-working environment is running in a separate server supports the theory of this being a security change required on the email server to allow this server start the connection. You should discuss this with the mail server administrator.
