We need to remove user from all his groups (both group member and group admin) while the user was reactivated thru AD sync process.
In my current thinking, we need to use people functions plugins to get all user's groups and execute multiple task instances to remove the given user from his groups. Is there simpler way to do that?...

I would use either that approach to get the groups or the Appian Group Membership library available for download here in Appian Forum under the "Shared Components" record (forum.appian.com/.../all)- Libraries and Utilities but at the end you will have to use the Remove User activity using MNI or a loop to remove the user from those groups.
