Hi,
I am using Appian 7.3 and trying to send email using SendEmailActivity. Although i have used the same configuration that i used for Appian 7.2 But this time its giving error. I have tried to configure two mailboxes( One external to the appian server and one internal to the appian server -- James). But for the server its giving me an error which is attached for your reference.
Please see if anyone could provide any solution....

AFAIK email configuration has changed between this version. I do not know exactly but you should have a look at the documentation.

Email body failed to render error occurs when the app server does not have access to the email templates through the URL defined in server_and_port setting. Usually due to the use of SSL. Either allow your app server to access the URL or use a mail server specific URL using mail_server_and_port setting. See the properties here:

Thanks shelzle and mike for the reply.
Shelzle: I have checked the documentation and i didnt able to figure out any in the configuration for sending email.
Mike:I am trying to send email to the server which is host Appian or we can say both appian and email server(James) are installed over the same server. I have used the all the configuration as mentioned in the doucmentation except from "conf.suite.MAIL_APPLICATION_CONTEXT", "conf.suite.APPLICATION_CONTEXT" and "conf.suite.MAIL_SCHEME". Moreove i am not sure about these entries. Any help on this would be great.
I have done following entries:
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=10.x.x.x:8080
conf.mailhandler.mail.smtp.host=10.x.x.x
conf.mailhandler.mail.smtp.port=25
conf.mailhandler.mail.smtp.auth=true
conf.mailhandler.mail.user=testuser
conf.mailhandler.mail.password=admin
conf.suite.MAIL_SERVER_AND_PORT=10.x.x.x:25

What the error is telling you is that the app server does not have access to IP 10.x.x.x and/or port 8080. Try setting MAIL_SERVER_AND_HOST to localhost:8080. Have you verified your smtp settings using tls?
