Hi,
All precedents are closed but I don't see the task under active task. Why? the status is Awaiting Precedents. Please let me know the possible problems.
Thank you

That would require a lot more details. Is this an application issue? Are you an Appian designer or business user? What does "Precedents" mean? What "active tasks"?
Hi Shiva,
Your question is very vague can you provide more details along with screenshots of what exactly is happening? Active tasks are different and precedents are 2 completely different things.
Hi Vinita,
Thank you for your response. I uploaded one screenshot. In "Requirement Hierarchies" tab, under Requirements, it shows it has 3 precedents. When I click on the number 3, it shows all precedents. Even though the status of all 3 precedents are closed but under "Requirements", it shows the status = "Awaiting Precedents". The question is: why it is Awaiting Precedents? what else I should do to let it go to next step?
As we do not know the logic of your application it is almost impossible to give you an advice.
This really totally depends on the business logic and the code within your application. I'd say you can share your code here, but unless you can do some initial troubleshooting and show us a concise spot in your code where the logic isn't working the way you were expecting, it'd be really hard for anyone here to advise you either way.
Thank you all for the quick respond. I found the solution.
In Appian Designer under Monitoring, choose "Process Activity" tab. In Filter (on the left side of the page), select "Process with errors" then look at the errors to see which one could be the problem. I chose "Send Process Message to Trigger Parent Requirement". When the page opens see which box is red, right click on that then start. There was a dead lock there. Now the task is appears under active task.
Have a nice weekend.
