Hi,
I am trying to install Appian 7.4 on a windows 8 64bit machine. Mysql is also 64 bit. I am using JBoss 6.2 eap, I have done all the configurations mentioned in the installation guide of Appian, but am getting following error :
java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.mysql.jdbc.jdbc2.optional.MysqlXADatasource from [Module "com.mysql.jdbc:main" from local module loader @1e0a01f
Please suggest what is wrong?
Mysql Jar is placed at the right location which is <jboss_home>\\module\\com\\mysql\\jdbc\\main
Version of Mysql jar is mysql-connector-java-5.1.30-bin.jar (it is platform independent jar file)
After extracting it I can see that it has com.mysql.jdbc.jdbc2.optional.MysqlXADatasource file in it.

Any reason you are not using Appian 7.5?
Also, when configuring, use Appian Configuration Manager. Which you can find in components on Forum.
