We have having some confusion internally on RedHat JBoss support. Starting with 7.4 we are installing the jBoss included with the Appian package. If we have issues specific to jBoss should we be calling RedHat or Appian for support? Has anyone had any issues contacting RedHat for something delivered by Appian?...

If you are using an Enterprise License of JBoss then you should be entitled to support (review your licensing contract for specifics). For JBoss specific issues Redhat Support is the point of contact, but if the JBoss instance experiencing problems is the one running Appian do not hesitate in contacting Appian Technical Support first so they can confirm whether this is an issue under their scope or not.

I am assuming that the JBoss version provided by the Appian installer is the same thing we could download directly from Red Hat is that correct? Meaning, Appian is providing a service by including it, not modifying it in some way that Red Hat could theoretically object to.

Appian does not provide JBoss in our installer for the past several Appian releases.
