Hi there, We are having some issues to test a feature, our objective

Hi there,

We are having some issues to test a feature, our objective is the following:

- A user logs in Appian and automatically we have to trigger a web service to know if the user has access to an Application through the data in this system.

- After logged in this system, Appian should also trigger another web service, which will bring the permissions enabled for this user (inside the Application) automatically changing it on Appian (if necessary).

This is a very specific case and we are not finding a good resolution anywhere (documentation, forum, etc).

If someone please can send me something that can help us, we'll appreciate a lot.

Thanks,

Michel Barbosa...

  • Are you using this mechanism to grant access to an application in Appian? If that's the case, why not use the standard Appian out of the box identity management to define the security privileges for the application and add or remove users from the group based on a periodic check via the WS? I think you might be able to achieve this is a fairly straight-forward and OOTB way. I would recommend you look into this option first.
