As per installation documentation , Appian suggested to use oracle OpenJDK for JAVA_HOME. But the linux machine we have has already IBM java .
Will it be possible to install appian with IBM java.
or
Do we need install open jdk which comes with appian installer for JAVA_HOME.
is there any advantage of using openjdk

Appian (the company) only supports the includes JDK. Whether Appian (the software) runs on any other JDK ... who knows.
