Adding New Fields/Columns to the Database and Grid view

Is it possible to add new fields/columns to the database using an interface and automatically update record list columns and other dependent interfaces?

 It is possible scenario to add columns to database table from your interface. When you submit your interface, you can trigger a process to use query database smart service to update your table. 
 But you need to manually update the record type and other dependents of that table.
