In the migration guide for Appian 7.2, it states to backup the entire <APPIAN_Home>
Then it states backup the application server directory.
What is the difference. I thought D:\\Appian is APPIAN_HOME and would thing the application server directory is the same.
I am migrating from 6.7.1 to 7.2
Thanks...

Application Server directory refers to where you application server (JBoss, WebLogic, or WebSphere depending on which app server you are using) is installed.
If your application server happens to be installed under Appian home directory (for example <appian home>/bin/jboss) then by backing up the Appian home directory and its contents you are also backing up the Application Server directory.
If you installed your Application Server outside of Appian home directory then that would require an additional backup of the directory where your app server files reside.

Ok that is what I thought. Yes my old version is inside Appian Home so I am good there. Thank you!
