We are upgrading Appian from 7.2 to Appian 7.6 and we have received below error very first moments.

Thanks for your details Ed, I have copied design engines earlier and checked in db_*.logs as well which was as required. But when I restarted Appian and Jboss this time it does not occurred.

That's good, then this confirms you had scenario #1, the race condition which gets fixed on its own. You should be ok now
