i just have a general question about this statement in the documentation, "By default Appian runs with 3 shards each of the execution and analytics engines. The maximum number of shards for each of these engines is 32. Because they store unique data, once you have added a new shard for execution and analytics, you cannot remove that shard from your configuration."
Does this mean one engine can have between 3 to 32 shards? 1 : 3 ... 1: 32. Thank you.

Hi justinb8398 My Thought would be yes, we can have a minimum of 3 shards and a max of 32 shards This allows for scalability and data distribution across multiple shards. It cannot be removed once you have added a new shard, as it stores unique data.
Thanks Abhishek! By "we", does that mean one engine has 3 to 32 shards? Is shard just another way of saying engine or does an engine have one to many shards?
Hi Justinb8398 AFAIK one engine can have a minimum of 3 shards to Max of 32 shards, shards basically can be called as container / may be engine as well
