The Process Modeller only run under IE. Appears that IE 8 is the best fit.

The Process Modeller only run under IE. Appears that IE 8 is the best fit.
However - it also looks like Appian is using an Add-On or library function - but I don't know which one.
I'm getting an "Unknown Object" error - but does not tell me which one - just gives a JS line #.
Anyway seen this - and know how to configure IE8 optimally for Appian?
Thanks, David...

Can you attach a screenshot of the error?
What OS are your running this IE instance on?

Eduardo, thanks for reply. I'm looking to configure this under Wine on Ubuntu 14.01 running IE 8 - that part is all running - I can login to the Appian Tempo dashboard - that works - but the "Launch Process Modeller" gives this JS error. Syntax error possibly points to different JS library - but then one would hope the JS does not fail with basic parsing issues?

The second error I'm getting is when trying to launch the model designer - if I click the link directly that launches IE 8 is this - this one seems like there is a missing library as it does not know what the object is.

What version of Appian is this? The error you're posting here seems the same as issue AN-52887 which was fixed on Appian 7.5 hotfix C

Eduardo, clarification - the second error I'm getting when trying to run the SAIL designer - but then I ran that in Firefox and it works just fine :-)
So its primarily the Process Modeller that needs IE 8 - everything else appears to run in Firefox.
Thanks, David

Eduardo, OK - that explains it. We're running the older 7.x Appian - so looks like we need to upgrade to make this available. Really appreciate the help here. Thanks. David

There is also a hotfix for this issue in Appian 7.4

The issue only impacts IE8
