We have the setting conf.security.pw.WARN_PASSWORD_PERIOD defined as 14 days, but we did not receive any email notification before the password expiry happens. We have MAX_PASSWORD_AGE as 6 months. Is there any way we can apply this setting to only a few accounts in the system?...

There's no email sent when the password is going to expire, this is a warning users will get when they login to the site offering them the ability to change the password.
Settings are global, not per user.

Hi Eduardo,
In one of our environment, we have a few accounts that are not used by anyone to log in, but they are used to start a few processes and to do some other automated operations. So before the user password expires we would like to receive an email alert notification. Is this possible, or will we have to look at maybe building a specific process that sends out alerts to us?

What people do in that scenario is to create a process model with a timer to handle the reminder. Remember that the 6 months start from the last login therefore you can trigger the timer manually right after logging it with all those accounts today.
