I need assistance resetting a user’s password in our Appian environment. Due to security restrictions, we do not have SMTP/email functionality available, so the standard “Forgot Password” workflow cannot be completed.
Current Behavior
I navigate to the Administration Console → Users
Locate the user record for John Doe
Click “Reset Password”
System prompts that a reset email has been sent
No email is sent because SMTP is disabled
Discussion posts and replies are publicly visible
There is a plugin "Credential Management" that allows to change a users password directly.
Can it be done without a Plugin, since we have security restrictions?
I am not aware of any other way.
