Unable to Reset User Password – No SMTP Access in Environment

I need assistance resetting a user’s password in our Appian environment. Due to security restrictions, we do not have SMTP/email functionality available, so the standard “Forgot Password” workflow cannot be completed.

 Current Behavior

  1. I navigate to the Administration Console → Users

  2. Locate the user record for John Doe

  3. Click “Reset Password”

  4. System prompts that a reset email has been sent

  5. No email is sent because SMTP is disabled
