Hello Community,
Recently, our Appian environment was experiencing performance slowness. To address this, we executed the command: appian_services_stop / appian_services_start
After doing so, the system came back up and was running fine with improved performance. Later, when our vendor connected, they insisted that we should only follow the manual stop order described in the documentation:
1. Stop application server
2. Stop search server
3. Stop data service
4. Stop engines
They blamed our use of appian_services_stop for later issues. However, when they followed the manual stop/start sequence, the system failed to come back online and has remained down since then.
My question is:
Is there any risk or problem associated with using appian_services_stop / appian_services_start instead of manually stopping/starting in order?
Thanks in advance for clarification.
