We need to turn on default task assignment emails to end users from Appian 7.2 server.The following two properties are set to immediate in custom.properties:

server.conf.notifications.process_new_task_me_timing
server.conf.notifications.process_new_task_others_timing

The mail server setup is done on the server and end users are able to receive mails sent via Send Email smart service.Is there any other configuration required to turn on default task assignment emails?

Those settings should be adequate. Make sure that the app server is restarted for the changes to take effect.

Also note that changing them requires a double restart of the engines.
