Good Morning,
I would like to know if having some special Character in the DBMS Password on the appian DS could result in some DB user Authentication Failure ?
For example an installation where we are not using any security Domain and so have the Database connectivity Security
directly on the Appian DS ;
so something like <security>
<user-name>XXXXXX</user-name>
<password>XX;XXX+2%X</password>
</security>
Thank you in advanced

To avoid any possible issues with the password having special characters, you might consider using picketbox to encode the password into a text string which you can then add to your standalone.xml / appian-ds.xml. Refer to the documentation at
forum.appian.com/.../Configuring_Relational_Databases.html
under the Configure a Security Domain subsection for using picketbox to encode datasource passwords.
