I am trying to delete a user from a group, and I get a message stating "One or more of the selected user(s) cannot be deleted, because they have been added by rule(s)". However, when I look at the "Rules" tab for the group, there are no rules defined. Is there somewhere else to find rules? The group I'm trying to delete users from is "Process Model Creators", which is a System Group, SYSTEM_GROUP_PROCESS_MODEL_CREATORS. Do system groups have rules that can't be seen?

Does the Process Model Creators group contain any subgroups that have rules for defining membership?

Yes, it does. I guess that is the problem, the group takes on all of the rules from the subgroups. Thanks for the info.

No problem. A group will always contain all of the users for it's subgroups, thus why removing the user from the group in this case doesn't work.
