I am trying to authenticate a user by using Appian API using the "authenticate" fuunction of "UserService".
To this method, I am passing the password which is hashed (SHA-512) and base64 encoded byte[] using UTF-8 character-set something like that in
forum.appian.com/.../3227

However, I always get the InvalidLoginException even if I pass the correct credentials.
Can someone please help?...

Hi, can you please explain why you are using API instead of extending the spring security authentication mechanism (for e.g. for SSO)?
