Hi All,

I am attempting to set up LDAP authentication for Appian.
I have tested the credentials successfully using JXplorer.

On startup , the following error is logged:

org.springframework.beans.factory.xml.XmlBeanDefinitionStoreException: Line 1 in XML document from ServletContext resource [/WEB-INF/conf/spring-security-03-auth-mgr-override.xml] is invalid; nested exception is org.xml.sax.SAXParseException; lineNumber: 1; columnNumber: 7; The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed.

The "auth-mg-override" file is attached.

It seems there are some tabs at the beginning of the file that might be introducing the issue. Try the attached XML (make sure you put the credentials back)

If this doesn't work and you're using a Linux server make sure you run the dos2unix over this file first
