Hi All,
I am trying to install Appian7.9. Appian documentation recommends jboss-6.3.3 or latest version.I have tried installing using version 6.3.0 and 6.4.0 as I couldn't find jboss-6.3.3. Jboss started fine but couldn't load appian.Has anyone upgraded 7.9 and facing same issue?
Thanks

The supported version is 6.3.3 which is a patch you get if you have purchased Redhat Support to get patches.
What's the error you were getting when using 6.4.0? Can you:
1. Stop JBoss 6.4.0.0
2. Delete <JBOSS_HOME>\\standalone\\log\\server.log
3. Start JBoss 6.4.0.0
5. Attach <JBOSS_HOME>\\standalone\\log\\server.log

Hello Sanket, configure.bat could not create required folders for jboss 6.4 but considered as jboss 6.3 as default . You need to manually copy required files (standalone.bat,standalone.custom.bat) also you need to copy database connectors as well which is still missing while performing with configure.bat

Any idea when the configure scripts will be able to handle jboss 6.4? I'm particularly interested in the Windows version.

JBoss 6.4 is still under review for compatibility. The documentation will be updated accordingly once this testing completes.
You can still configure it manually though, I've done that myself to test but it's always better to wait for the official support.

Per the system requirements
forum.appian.com/.../System_Requirements.html
7.9 is not certified for JBoss 6.4 yet, therefore I can't comment on the configurations until it's officially supported in which case it will be in the documentation. Basically the main aspect to consider is that the configure script uses a JBoss 6.3.3 standalone.xml therefore you would need to do a manual configuration as in previous versions, but again I can't recommend using a version that is not officially documented as supported.
If you have a subscription with Redhat Support for JBoss you'll be able to get the 6.3.3 patch.

For now you can copy all the files related to jboss created in appian_repository through configure scripts for jboss 6.3.3 can be used in jboss 6.4 and copy additional database connectors .

JBoss 6.4 is not a supported application server at this time. If you utilize JBoss 6.4, you and your end customers will not be supported by Appian and you could be introducing unrecoverable problems in your applications. By using JBoss 6.4, you are intentionally going against what is written in the Documentation. For supported Application servers, please see

With the latest Hotfix package, JBoss 6.4 is now allowed with Appian 7.9:
