Hi, I am installing 7.9 and not migration from existing version to 7

Hi,

I am installing 7.9 and not migration from existing version to 7.9. After following the installer guide and configuring the settings, am getting below error on restarting the JBoss (Jboss version 6.4):

Caused by: org.jboss.msc.service.StartException in anonymous service: JBAS018040: Failed to start context\\"},
\\"JBAS014771: Services with missing/unavailable dependencies\\" => [

Could any one help me in resolving these errors and reason why we are getting these.

It's hard to tell exactly, but it looks like you don't have a valid appian-topology.xml file in your ear/suite.ear/conf directory. You'll probably need to uncomment a section. If you update the file in ear/suite.ear/conf make sure to copy it to search-server/conf as well

Ok, could you help us in making this file a valid one and let us know what goes into this file. Please find attached appian-topology.xml file for reference.

Continuation from above on 7.9 installation.
After the above mentioned changes in appian-topology.xml, when jboss is started get below error
....
javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/AppianPrimaryDS -- service jboss.naming.context.java.jdbc.AppianPrimaryDS.
Although the jndi-name are correct in appian-ds.xml, this error shows up in server.Attaching the files for reference.
Even verified logging to the DB with the right credentails, but still the issue.

Check to make sure the .dodeploy file is in the standalone/deployments folder for the ds.xml, it may have been changed to .deploying during a previously failed startup attempt

Under the <JBOSS_HOME>/standalone/deployments , there is no .dodeploy file but I see 2 files i.e
appian-ds.xml.undeployed
appian-ds.xml

The content showing under appian-ds.xml.undeployed file is just 'appian-ds.xml'

Change the name of the undeployed file to dodeploy and try again
