I am working on an upgrade from Appian 7.6 to Appian 7.9 which also requires an upgrade of JBoss from 6.2 to 6.4. We have installed a brand new JBoss server on a new location, but I dont know where/how Appian is linked to Jboss. Is there a property where I can set the new JBoss path? If Appian is an application that is deployed into JBoss, how is that deployment done? I am interested in knowing how appian is linked to Jboss.

Hmm I think I found the answer..I think the Configure Script will take care of it of as explained in the documentation:
"Run the Deploy configurations command and choose to deploy configurations to JBoss. This will copy the JBoss configurations for the selected environment to the designated <JBOSS_HOME> directory." Am I right?

If you use the configure script, it deploys your (modified) config files to Appian and/or Jboss. Included in these config files is the Jboss setting to deploy Appian (in particular, the deployment scanner in standalone.xml).
