I am getting this error while importing an application:-
processModel 001adb33-8268-8000-6ee0-010000010001 "SAMPLE_PROCESS_MODEL": An error occurred while creating processModel [uuid=001adb33-8268-8000-6ee0-010000010001]: com.appiancorp.core.design.ValidationException: Process Model is not valid. (APNX-1-4071-007)
We restarted the server many times (both engines and jboss), we also republished the process model several times, checked dependencies and everything but it still gives an error.
This error does not occur during INSPECTION but ONLY during IMPORT. Any idea why?

I've seen this type of an error when a form field within the process model is referencing an item that no longer exists. In our case the reference to deleted item was on a form field configuration option that was no longer being used.

Can you attach the whole import log if possible? If not, search for the "Caused by" clauses inside them and paste all of them here

Let's see if we can get a more meaningful error message using this approach:
1. Access the SOURCE ENVIRONMENT (where you EXPORTED the app from) server and navigate to _admin\\models
2. Search for a folder called "01adb33-8268-8000-6ee0-010000010001"
3. Download the most recent XML
4. Login to the TARGET ENVIRONMENT (where you want to IMPORT the app to) and go open the Process Modeler
5. File - Import and select the downloaded XML from the server
6. File - Tools -Validate and see if you get a better error at the bottom of the screen
