Unable to open /designer in new 7.9 install

I have installed appian 7.9, its a fresh installation. But whenever I click 'Appian designer' link it displays 'Error 404 - Page Not Found' message.
I got below error message from application-server when I hit the link,There is no cause by statement present in this error message stack trace.

Please refer attached screen shot.
Note: I haven't started search server as m/c is already running out of memory

    Hi Eduardo ,
    This time i tried to install Appian 7.11 and i am able to access the tempo,apps,designer page but not design page from IE 11(throwing error mentioned in attachment 1).and for chrome and Firefox its giving 401 error(throwing error mentioned in attachment 2).
    However if i access this from local server with localhost in URL it works fine on all browsers.

    My Server and port setting are mentioned below

    conf.suite.SCHEME=http
    conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=mymachine.mydomain.com:8080
