We wanted to disable the task exception notifications according to the following documentation:-

forum.appian.com/.../Configuring_Notifications.html

But we wanted to know if we can disable all task exception notifications and enable only certain type of tasks exception notifications such as the Send Email , Write to Data Store etc.

Is that possible?

Something like :-

server.conf.notifications.task.sendEmail_exception_msg_timing = immediate

No. All Exception Emails are of a single/same type of notification

server.conf.notifications.process_exception_msg_timing
An error in the process has occurred
The default timing is immediate.

server.conf.notifications.task_exception_msg_timing
An error in a task of a process has occurred
The default timing is immediate.

I did ps | more on <APPIAN_HOME> and could not find any K process running? Also, I don't have any permissions to delete the entire appian directory and its contents.. Is there any other alternative?
