Can't Login to New 7.1 Install

I have setup a new install of Appian 7.1 (with hotfixes) on my laptop. The installation appeared to go well, and I am able to get to the Appian Login screen in my browser (IE 9). The issue is that I cannot create the Administrator Login. I thought the first time you setup Appian you put "Administrator" in for the username and a password (of your choice) on the login screen, and this set up your admin login?

Anyways, when I attempt to do this I get the following error (above my username on the login screen in red):
“The username/password entered is invalid. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive.”

Any ideas?
