User Services Plugin Fails to Enable after Upgrade from 7.8 to 7.10

Question

We upgraded from 7.8 to 7.10. After the restart we see the below error getting logged. 2015-07-20 20:56:30,440 [ServerService Thread Pool -- 87] INFO com.appiancorp.plugins.LoggingPluginEventListener - Successfully installed Plug-in 'People Functions' (psshared.peoplefunctions) version 1.0.0. 2015-07-20 20:56:30,442 [ServerService Thread Pool -- 87] ERROR com.appiancorp.plugins.LoggingPluginEventListener - Failed to enable Plug-in 'User Services' (com.appiancorp.a2.plugins.userServices) version 6.2.0: 'There was a problem loading the descriptor for module 'Rename User' in plugin 'User Services'. Error retrieving dependency of class: com.appiancorp.a2.plugins.userServices.RenameUser. Missing class: com/appiancorp/suiteapi/metadata/MetadataService' Any help appreciated.

The metadata engine has been removed. All related functionality was previously deprecated.. You'll need to refactor your plugins to no longer use any APIs related to metadata. You'll also need to ensure that your application doe not depend on that functionality. (It won't unless you started on a really old version of Appian).
