I just upgraded from Appian 7.5 to 7.10 on JBoss 6.4. On start up, the following error is logged on the JBoss console. Any idea what is causing this error?
09:18:49,710 ERROR [stderr] (ServerService Thread Pool -- 89) ScriptEngineManager providers.next(): javax.script.ScriptEngineFactory: Provider com.sun.script.javascript.RhinoScriptEngineFactory not found
09:20:04,751 ERROR [stderr] (Spring executor 2) ScriptEngineManager providers.next(): javax.script.ScriptEngineFactory: Provider com.sun.script.javascript.RhinoScriptEngineFactory not found

In 7.10 Appian reduced one engine
Also search server is separate
If you had custom plugins it might need rework as API some of them changed and some depricated

Hello,
Rhino Scripting engine needs to be disabled as per instructions.
Edit File
<JBOSS_HOME>/modules/system/layers/base/sun/jdk/main/service-loader-resources/META-INF/services/javax.script.ScriptEngineFactory.
Remove RhinoScripting, Save and Restart JBoss
