1.I did followed the jboss configurations listed in the below link for 7.10
forum.appian.com/.../Configuring_Relational_Databases.html
2.Yes,apppian_primary and appian_businessdata are respective schema names in my local sql server
3.Encoded password that generated by the utility has negative symbol,so I used the same
4.I followed all the instructions given in the link

Are you familiar with the meaning of a k3.lic message when you run start-suite?

Exactly. That message means invalid license which supported the statement of your engines not starting; engines cannot be started without a valid license.
Glad it's working now.

You need to configure:
conf.suite.SCHEME=
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=
with the hostname of your computer and the port in ear/suite.ear/conf/custom.properties
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=mycomputer.mydomain.com:8080
and restart the application server

Thanks Eduardo..I did updated custom.properties. This time I am not able to login to app it says - Make sure the web address
usl03396.persistent.co.in:8080
is correct.
Updated with
ear/suite.ear/conf/custom.properties and C:\\appian\\repo\\710\\ear\\suite.ear\\conf\\custom.properties.dev
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=usl03396.persistent.co.in:8080

I'm thinking that's not your machine name, is it?
What's the output of the following command
hostname
in the command line?
what's the content of your hosts file?
