Trying to install Appian 7.10 standalone .Getting error while starting JBOSS.
An unexpected error occurred while trying to initialize and validate the primary data source. (APNX-1-4179-004)
Caused by: javax.persistence.PersistenceException: Unable to build EntityManagerFactory
Caused by: org.hibernate.HibernateException: Could not find datasource
Caused by: javax.naming.NameNotFoundException: jdbc/AppianPrimaryDS -- service jboss.naming.context.java.jdbc.AppianPrimaryDS
Please check attached zip file for all the configuration followed as well as I followed following link also

Followed all the steps mentioned in the installation guide.
Not sure why this error is getting triggered.Any help.

Contents for host file name -
# localhost name resolution is handled within DNS itself.
127.0.0.1 localhost
::1 localhost
# BEGIN section for OpenVPN Client SSL sites

Based on that hosts file this should work
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=localhost
and accessing it via
http://localhost:8080/suite
Can you try?

I did updated the custom.properties with conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=localhost:8080 and restarted the server
accessed using
http://127.0.0.1:8080/suite
..I am able to login and when i open the interface designer it seems the sail interface not loading up properly

The URL should be
http://localhost:8080/suite
not the IP

Interesting, very unusual. If that's the case then we need to fix the inconsistency to get rid of the CORS origin denied error and change the settings to
conf.suite.SCHEME=http
conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=127.0.0.1

I updated to IPAddress - conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT=127.0.0.1:8080 and restarted the server ...finally I am able to see the interface designer works fine...
so it seems we need to give IP address instead of local host as mentioned in the hosts file
And it seems my DB also listens on ip address -127:0.0.1
