Hi, I am trying to design High Availability for Appian platform. Currently I have Appian and Jboss installed in the same VM. I will be installing additional Jboss and Appian in another VM.
In web server I will have my load balancer configured to take care of load balancing the request. And in Appian side I will update topology xml with 16 engines on VM1 and same set of engines on VM2 and complete configurations related data source xml’s and custom properties and etc.
My questions are -
1. Do I need to update both my primary and secondary Appian deployment scanner in both VM1 Jboss and VM2 Jboss standalone.xml file?
2. How data get synchronized between Appian instances on VM1 and VM2?
3. What happens if Appian engines are down on VM1 but Appian is up on VM2, how data get synchronized between VM1 and VM2 Appian when VM1 Appian member join back?
4. What are the risks I will have when I implement Clustering/ High Availability of Jboss an...
