I deployed the temp license in the repo directory. When i updated my license from temp to permanent, I had to redeploy the jboss and appian. It works fine now.

you can directly place license to <APPIAN_HOME>\\server\\_bin\\k\\win64 or \\win32 directory based on the OS type.
