How to change the US time locale from 24 hours format to 12 am/pm format? ...

Please provide a little more information. Where are you trying to make this change?

I want to be able to configure this globally on the system, switching from AM/PM to 24 hours format and the other way around.

In the System Tabs, under Internationalization settings, what is your Primary Language? Are there any other languages that you have enabled?

Hours displayed in US English use a 12-hour clock with an AM or PM designation. US English (en_US) uses the following format. Month Day, Year Hour:Minute AM/PM.

I understand that I can change the internationalization settings using the system tabs, I want to change the time configuration in the US English locale from 12 hours to 24 hours.

& my primary language is US English.

As per my research, it’s not possible to do so, by design. However, an enhancement request has been created with the Technology team to allow a user to easily configure the Date/Time format against locale settings. Your reference number is AN-36418.
