Hi,
I am trying to install 16.1 locally and i have met all system requirements. Although jboss showed that it bound to all datasources when it gets the keystore mapping to the database it breaks. Something curious is I don't see a separeate section in the installation documents section for 16.1 and only has upgrade document. Does that mean that 16.1 can only be installed from a previous appian version with existing primary database??? Attached is my server.log.

Appian can certainly be installed with the most recent build, in this case 16.1, without having a prior build available. Looking at your logs, I see the error com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.MySQLSyntaxErrorException: Unknown database 'appian_primary' . Please see
forum.appian.com/.../Configuring_Relational_Databases.html
and check that you have configured your RDBMS correctly.
