Hi there ,
Our on-premise installation was initially configured with 50 GB File-Space on Fileserver.
This space is running full and we ask ourselfes, how we can reduce the occupied HD-Space bei admin actions.
/dev/mapper/applvg1-appian_lv
50G 45G 2.6G 95% /applications/appian
We have 3.6 GB Log data and...
-bash-4.1$ pwd;du -sh *
/applications/appian/server/process
7.1G analytics
432K common
6.6G design
296K events
18G exec
88K migration
which means
/analytics
/exec and
/design
are quite large
We cannot delete anything out of these directories???
Are there any admin functions to handle file growthon the server??
What are our counter measure possibilities besides adding file storage??

50gb of storage is pretty low for a production system for just the engines or the app server. It is the _minimum_ requirement for 1 of those. If both are using the same storage, 50gb would be 50% less than minimum. Either way, for any significant usage, you will likely need to add storage.
Also, here is info on how and what can be cleaned up:

Hi thank your for your comments, which I appreciate.
I know that 50 GB may not be much allocated file space for the systems. And one obvious way to solve (moresoe 'delay') the problem would be to add additional HD-Space. But ....this is not exactly the questions here!
The question is:
a.) Which tools or methods do I have to control and reduce the file space usage of appian (build-in function or general possibilities) and
b.) What exactly can I delete out of the mentioned directories and/or how can I identify / remove items within appian to lower/control the file space usage?
Thanks again.

Please see the first link that I sent for "Data Maintenance" that covers what you can control. Keep in mind that those directories contain your data, so be sure to backup and test in a non-production environment.
