i.e. min-pool-size and max-pool-size

That sounds like an incredibly high number for the max-pool-size setting. Can you add some detail as to why you think it's necessary?

We may have high number of users in our Applications & it may touch this limit for DB connections easily.

This seems high from the usual default. We might need to check on the db side if there are processes using up connections and not letting it go for a prolonged time instead of increasing the pool limit.
