I Created one user in Appian without giving a value in password field as it was

I Created one user in Appian without giving a value in password field as it was not mandatory field. Now I am trying to login with my username without giving any password in login page. Appian throwing an exception "The username/password entered is invalid. Usernames and passwords are case sensitive."

Please let me know the required steps to login.

Normally an email is sent to the user with a temporary password - assume you didn't get that

You have to Reset your Password clicking on "Reset Password". You will get a link to set new password.

How are you connecting this .... is it having any link with external systems. can u please explain it ...

is there any workaround if the email server is not configured to get the temp password link or reset password link?

Not unless you try to create a plugin to change the password.

Above issue is solved by using the "Reset Password" Smart service. Now am able to login to the Appian Designer for this user. Thanks to all
