Recently, we installed Appian 16.1 on one of our server. We are getting (attached screenshot) "Error 401 - Unauthorized" when we hit submit button with or without entering login details. We have verified all the settings against the Appian documentation. Everything looks correct.
Could anyone point out the places where we need to look to debug this issue further?
Attached a bit of the log file from when we had debugging enabled.

conf.suite.SCHEME is set to http and conf.suite.SERVER_AND_PORT is also set to the Cname for the server. The web.xml file also had the configuration for https commented out.

Which URL do you type in your browser? IP address or the Cname?

We use the cname in the browser to access this. I have been changing some of the files around, and I have managed to get around the 401 error, so I may need to look at having the login.jsp file re-written so that it 16.1 can have the same functionality as the old installation.

OK. Ah, you are upgrading. Make sure you are following the upgrade instructions in detail.

Did that where there were instructions, the problem is that it has been heavily customised and getting those migrated is where all of issues have been so far and will be going forward I suspect.

Can you check spring security files if these are overridden.

We are dealing with the same issue now after upgraded from 7.3 to 16.1 over the w/e. We have SSL/SSO environment as well as non SSL/SSO environments. In 7.3, using
https://SERVER_AND_PORT
(for SSO) and
http://Cname
(for login form) both worked.
We are reviewing the 2 spring security override xml files.
