On help page, for version 16.2 quick installation of Windows has the step "Update the standalone.xml.<ENVIRONMENT> file with the security domain name" missing under section "Encode the MySQL Data Source Password".
Was this intentional or has the step been missed?

Not intentional. If you are going to encode the password then this is still needed in standalone.xml.
