Appian upgrade to 16.2 from 7.10

We are upgrading to Appian 16.2 from 7.10.
Search-server/conf contains custom.properties. I am not sure it is auto generated with installation or custom created.
Custom.properties contains following keys & values
conf.search-server.http.auth.salt=
conf.search-server.http.auth.un=admin
conf.search-server.http.auth.pw=
When we upgrade to 16.2 - should we copy this file along with apian-topology file to search-server/conf directory of new installation?

I would suggest following the steps on
forum.appian.com/.../Upgrade_Guide.html
which covers 7.10 to 16.2 - ref: "he value for the conf.data.search-server.HOST configuration property in custom.properties is no longer read from that location and now must be configured in appian-topology.xml. The corresponding transport.tcp.port property that was in <APPIAN_HOME>/search-server/ss.ear/ss.war/WEB-INF/elasticsearch.yml"

My question was very specific to custom.properties file with above three keys and values residing in search-server/conf directory. The steps mentioned in upgrade guide does mention information about this. Can you please recheck?
