I have went through the process to upgrade to 16.3 but am receiving an error when starting JBOSS. Error is in server.log. I don't see any information related to this error.
JBWEB000287: Exception sending context initialized event to listener instance of class com.appiancorp.common.config.ConfigurationLoader:
Thanks.

Usually if jboss version stays the same and install location is same, you shouldn't have to touch the services.
Might be worth a support ticket if you haven't opened one yet

Try creating a bin folder in the appian folder and putting JBOSS in there.

@davidg707 I had the bin folder set. I resolved the issue by merging in configuration one by one into the 16.3 base files. For any coming across this issue it isn't good to expect your repo from previous version to work for new version. Place new configuration into repo afterwards. Thanks everyone.

To add to the previous note, for anyone seeing this error in the future, this is caused specifically by using the web.xml from a previous version of Appian in the installation for 16.3.
