cleanup.sh (.bat)

Is there a detailed article about the cleanup.sh (.bat) script? I want to know:
1) does it archive active logs?
2) if the cron is deleting the active logs why would it not cause the application to break?
3) what does the first parameter value indicate - I see there are 2 crons scheduled - 1 for "data" and the other for "logs"?
any guidance will be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks Andrewg, The “data” action description says - "Clean up old data files (*.kdb)". What is stored in the .kdb files and are these updated in real time based on the hosted URL access by various users?
